Etch-A-Sketch Comedy is group of comedians, actors, and singers who perform sketch comedy through life experiences and creative embelishment. Founded by Davee Boy, who began performing skits in his basement, the cast grew to include: JB Brown, Chaz Bruce, Rob Campbell, Eddie English, Jermaine, Deya Patterson, Alexis Bruce, Summer, Toya,T-Dash, Elliott, and Chuck. Every performance consists of stand-up comedy, impov, sketch comedy, and audience involvement.

As we grow, our comedy team has developed a significant fan base and we continue to have substantial support from the community. Each Thursday we host our show at Venue Resto Lounge called LOL Thursdays. The Etch-A-Sketch Comedy Team consists of professional stand up comedians, college graduates in theater, natural comedians, talented actors, dancers and R&B artists. The performance sells out each and every week. Our show is very much like the old show “In Living Color”. We have been fortunate enough to travel out of state and perform at venues such as college campuses, comedy clubs, high schools, and even shopping malls. We strongly believe in and live by the saying, GO HARD OR GO HOME, every time we touch the stageOUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY!!!

MEET THE CAST

Chaz Bruce

Often compared to Jamie Foxx, Chaz Bruce is a quadruple threat. Chaz is an all around entertainer. He is a comedian, singer, dancer, choreographer and an actor. Chaz graduated from Alfred University with a BA in theater. He has been on stage since kindergarten. “ I Love to be on stage sharing my gifts with the world.” .

JB Brown

What separates you from other talents? I think that I’m very diverse when I’m onstage. I can now act out over eighty people and counting even when I’m performing my stand-up routine; I like to even do my routine on my keyboard to keep the audience on there heels.

Davee Boy

What’s your comedic style? I think people love my short and quick punchlines. They also like the way I talk about my poor family growing up. I would think that if I had to name a style for myself it would be a poor-man style, because that’s the most truthful for me, and many people can relate to it.

Rob Campbell

This is a great opportunity for me to try new things in the entertainment field. I’m a rapper and songwriter who also enjoys writing funny sketches and bringing them to life onstage.

Summer Torrance

I’m a dance major but fell in love with comedy over the years. I was first introduced to Etch-A-Sketch comedy by JB Brown and never looked back. I look at the cast like a second family.

Eddie English “Flip”

What’s your favorite character you like to play while performing sketches? It would have to be church lady sister Watkins. Sister Watkins keeps the audience guessing whether she is a saint or a sinner while doing a stand-up routine.

Toshman Powell T. Dash

How is it having two older brothers as comics? Well fortunately I’m the funniest! *laughs* …but hey, it’s all good. I just love performing and acting I do it cause I love it.
